Blue Prism, interestingly has been the category creator for RPA, founded back in 2001 by Alastair Bathgate and David Moss. BP is also credited with coining the term “Robotic Process Automation” in 2003, which eventually gave birth to the RPA space and saw the mushrooming of other players such as Automation Anywhere and UiPath (then DeskOver).
