You were taught to be cautious. To move slowly. Not to jump into things. But sometimes, engaging from the start is the only way to find out if something will work all around. For example, just sticking your toe into a swimming pool won’t give you much information about how warm the pool is in every spot.
That idea can be applied to automating processes in a healthcare organization. According to Tremain Richard-Noel, head of emerging technology for the U.K.’s National Health Service (NHS), many organizations start off with a proof of concept for automation, which often doesn’t provide a real-world view of use and benefit. His advice? Consider forgoing the proof of concept. “You don’t buy paper by the sheet. You buy it by the ream,” he says.
In this week’s video, Tremain talks about how the NHS has benefited from “engaging from the start,” building knowledge and streamlining processes to enhance care. Discover the benefits for your organization. Jump into the video now.
