Perficient Attains Microsoft Solutions Partner Designations Under the New Cloud Partner Program

confetti falling on a golden trophy

Perficient is proud to announce we are now a Microsoft Solutions Partner in Azure Infrastructure, Data & AI, Digital & App Innovation, and Modern Work.

On October 3, 2022, Microsoft’s Partner Network (MPN) officially stepped onto the scene under a new name: Microsoft Cloud Partner Program. Aside from the fresh title, the program phases out the 18 traditional MPN Silver and Gold competencies and replaces them with six new “Solutions Partner Designations”, focusing on key areas within the Microsoft Cloud:

  • Infrastructure (Azure)
  • Data & AI (Azure)
  • Digital & App Innovation (Azure)
  • Modern Work (Microsoft 365)
  • Security (Microsoft 365 and Azure)
  • Business Applications (Dynamics 365 and Power Platform)

According to Microsoft, the Solutions Partner designations are meant to simplify partner offerings and help “demonstrate [an] organization’s breadth of capabilities to deliver customer success in the solution areas where we notice customer demand.”

For customers, it will hopefully provide a holistic measure to hold partners to and the ability to feel confident when choosing a Microsoft partner for investments in digital transformation.

Earning a solutions designation badge requires an eligibility score of at least 70/100 points based on skills and certifications of team members, performance in expanding customer base, and customer success measured through growth and number of deployments.

As of the new program rollout, Perficient has attained four of the six Microsoft Solutions Partner designations in Azure Infrastructure, Data & AI, Digital & App Innovation, and Modern Work.

Additional Microsoft Specializations

Building atop of these designations, partners can demonstrate additional technical expertise by attaining specializations (formerly “advanced specializations”). These specializations denote capabilities in more specific technical areas than the larger ‘designation’ umbrella.

Perficient, to date, has earned Microsoft Specializations in Adoption and Change Management as well as Modernization of Web Applications to Azure.
