The Power of Sitecore Specialization at Perficient – Our People

Mpls Boat Pic

Every technology consultancy can boast essentially the same laundry list of go-to-market buzzwords. They all have certifications, MVPs, and partnerships of different varieties: Silver, Gold, Platinum, Titanium, Uranium. Basically throw a dart at the Period Table of Elements and they have a partnership with somebody that aligns with it.

Sitecore Sales Excellence AwardAnd while the Sitecore group at Perficient has all of that in spades, we also have an ace up our sleeve that a lot of other companies don’t. Not only do we have some of the most talented, most brilliant, most dedicated developers, strategists, and specialists in the Sitecore community…we have an entire army behind us as well.

We just recently learned that Sitecore recognized Perficient with a 2022 Sitecore Partner Award. Brian Beckham, general manager of Perficient’s Sitecore practice, dedicated the award to our Sitecore team, saying:

This team of experts combine their deep knowledge of the Sitecore platform with excellent delivery to create valuable customer experiences for our clients.

I couldn’t agree with Brian more – our team of experts are driven to support one another for our collective success.

  • When I have a question about translating alt tags, I snag Eric Sanner.
  • When I have a question about efficiently migrating content, I ask Vanja Mimic.
  • When I want to bounce around ideas on setting up taxonomy, I set up time with Tiffany Laster or Jason Killingsworth.
  • And when I need to find out how another client has handled Google fonts or Vimeo scripts, I ping Emily Lord.

I mean, we have some REALLY smart people working on Sitecore projects.

But the great part is when we have a client with specific needs around website accessibility, we don’t have to research requirements and hope we’re making adequate recommendations. We can reach out to our colleagues like Lisa McMichael who has years of experience and industry-leading expertise to make sure we’re providing the absolute best guidance possible and make sure our client’s customers have a flawless digital experience across every platform.

When we have a project with complex integrations with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, we don’t have to track down publicly available documentation to make sure we’re doing it right. We can bring in Chris Kulish from our Salesforce Business Unit who has years of development experience and can save our team hours of work and help us provide a better solution.

Megan RupaIf I have a project with a commerce component, I’d lean on my brilliant colleague and friend Rupa Amin from our Commerce team to give guidance on Best Practices. (Proof of friendship – photo included!)

When an organization is stalled on its personalization strategy because its user data is in six different places, we can ask Grace Tsai from the Digital Marketing team to develop a plan to bring their analytics together in a way that’s digestible and actionable and we can move forward with them on Sitecore Personalize.

Because we have the privilege of working alongside 6,500 of the industry’s smartest experts in specific disciplines, specializations, industries, and technologies, that allows all 250 of us within the Sitecore Business Unit to focus on what we do best – staying on the cutting edge of everything Sitecore, providing the best possible advice to our clients, and building some of the coolest digital experiences for their customers.

And the best part about all of this is we’re just friends helping each other out. Everyone is so generous with their time and expertise. So willing to help answer questions and solve problems and teach us what they know. So excited to jump into a project and pitch in any way they can. Everyone in this organization is so delightfully geeky about their work and thrilled at the chance to do their thing – even if it’s to make someone else’s project better. No competition. No egos. No hierarchy.

It lets us become, and stay, the absolute best there is at the Sitecore platform. And that is the luxury of working with – and working for – Perficient.

I say it all the time. I’m luckier than I deserve. And I’m #ProudlyPerficient.
